
In some towns in Vietnam parents glue their kids to monuments in a very localized phenomenon which gives "tourist trap" a new meaning.
They ask you to take a picture and, once it's done, extend their hands and shout "money!".
They seemed too well dressed and healthy, no flies eating their eyelids away, so I decided to not encourage bumming at such an early stage of their development. That's consciencious 3rd world travelling for you.
Rule number one of the 3rd world consciencious traveller: don't interefere with local nature, leave it intact.
